October 10th was a very chilly and windy Saturday here.  We braved it along with Aunt Bean and went to our favorite Powell Pumpkin Patch in Louisburg off of 69.  For $20 we got 4 enormous pumpkins.  We carved them this past weekend.  Cute pics to come :)

I’ve finally decided that I can share my other site.  It’s still a work in progress as I want to make it fancy, but can’t figure out how yet.  Anyway, it’s a place where I want to show more crafty type things and the redoing and repurposing (you like that word?) of different objects.

Jacob David was born this morning at 6:59am.  He weighed in at 7.8 and 19inches long.

He’s already making silly faces :)   He’s such a handsome boy and looks so much like his brothers. And he smells so sweet.  I love that new baby smell :)

Each week I let everyone make a dinner request so that at least one night someone is completely happy with dinner.  Today I put in which was the boys’ requests.  Jaime is particularly happy about tonight’s meal.

Saturday–B: Peanut Butter Pancakes

D: Parish Picnic…BBQ

Sunday: B-cereal and eggs

D-Pork Butt (on sale at Target) acorn squash, baked potatoes

Monday: B-pancakes and yogurt

D-chili, rice, corn bread, salad

Tuesday: B-bagel sandwich, pineapple

D-homemade mac and cheese, veggies  (Alexander’s request)

Wednesday: B-oatmeal, apple

D-homemade pizza (going to try this recipe for the dough) and salad  (John Paul’s request)

Thursday: B-cereal bar and yogurt

D-spaghetti squash, chicken and dumpling soup

Friday: B-bagel sandwich and fruit

D-something Mexican but I haven’t decided what yet. maybe bean enchiladas with rice

this was a busy 3 day weekend.  i already mentioned a few things we did, but forgot these:

  • boys had they’re first taste of Paciugo’s
  • LONG bike ride…all the way to the train tracks and back
  • first total crash on bike…Alexander got scraped up pretty well and busted his lip
  • fishing…this time Alexander caught 6 and John Paul snagged 3
  • walks around neighborhood
  • 6 pairs of new jeans for the boys
  • laundry, dishes, laundry, dishes, grocery shopping
  • reading…got Alexander 3 new books–Star Wars, George Washington, Indians
